MARK TWAIN LANDING, HAS BEEN ACQUIRED BY THE JENKINS ORGANIZATION AND PLANS TO REOPEN APRIL 23RD, AS A JELLYSTONE PARK CAMP-RESORT

New owners plan to add new attractions including a jumping pillow, human foosball, laser tag, gaga ball, gem mining and Water Wars games as well as new rental cabins and glamping tents

“We’re already working on improvements so that we can provide families with memorable, spectacular experiences,” said Ricky Jenkins, president of The Jenkins Organization of Houston, Texas.

Mark Twain Lake currently features a swimming pool, five water slides, a wave pool, a lazy river, and mini golf alongside  240 campsites and numerous rental accommodations, including 18 park models, 21 cabins, eight motel rooms, and a lodge that sleeps 16.

The Jenkins Organization is planning to add many new attractions for the upcoming summer camping season, including a Water Wars game, laser tag, human foosball, gaga ball, gem mining, a jumping pillow, wagon rides, a movie theater, a new playground, and equipment to play cornhole and horseshoes. The company also plans to add five furnished glamping tents and park model rentals.

A newcomer to the RV resort business, The Jenkins Organization has acquired six campgrounds in the past two years, has broken ground on two others, and has three additional developments in permitting.

The Mark Twain Lake Jellystone Park location will be the third Yogi Bear-themed park to be owned and operated by The Jenkins Organization, which also owns and operates Jellystone Park locations in Milton, Pennsylvania and Pelahatchie, Mississippi. The Jenkins Organization is particularly interested in the Jellystone Park franchise network because of its focus on providing family-friendly attractions, activities, and entertainment.

“We love the Jellystone Park model and its focus on providing family friendly activities,” Jenkins said, adding that his company plans to acquire additional Jellystone Park locations and convert existing campgrounds to the Yogi Bear-themed franchise in the near future.

Jellystone Park locations are famous for their attractions, organized family activities, and theme weekends with plentiful interactions with Yogi Bear, Boo Boo Bear, Cindy Bear, and Ranger Smith. Theme weekends range from chocolate-themed weekends with chocolate slides, chocolate crafts, and chocolate tastings to Christmas in July with Christmas Carole Karaoke and other holiday-themed activities to Halloween-themed weekends with costume and campsite decorating contests and trick-or-treating. Activities currently incorporate COVID-19 health, safety, and social distancing protocols.

The Mark Twain Lake Jellystone Park will be the third Jellystone Park location in Missouri, joining existing locations near St. Louis and Branson. For more information about the Mark Twain Lake Jellystone Park in Monroe, Missouri, please visit www.MarkTwainLakeJellystonePark.com
